Here are some things that you may not have known about text messaging or SMS. We all have witnessed in the last 20 years the explosion of mobile use around the world. There was a time when a mobile phone along with a mobile plan was not affordable for the average person but today even our children walk around connected. Understand that texting is a global phenomenon over 1.5 billion people worldwide send and receive SMS or text messages. This come out to be roughly about 65% of the world's population. Here is anther thought, there are over 7.9 billion mobile phones in use while there are only 7.6 billion people on our little blue planet. Here is the point, each of these 7.9 billion mobile phones are capable of receiving an SMS or text message. Think about that!

In the North America nearly 300 million people use text messaging daily. If you know anything about population you will understand that that is a little over 80% of the total population. Our friends across the way in Russia has the highest percentage of mobile users. Around 90% of the population sends and receives text messages or SMS daily. Of course, we cannot forget China and India who have the most people sending and receiving text messages daily. China has around 1 billion SMS users and India come in second place with roughly about 730 million people using text messaging on a daily basis.

Here are some stats that you probably did not know about text messaging. People from 18 to 24 text the most. Ok I know that one is obvious. But here is something mind blowing for you, there are more than 8 trillion text messages or SMS sent daily worldwide. Imagine if you had a penny for every text message sent? If you really want a breakdown then we have it for you. That is 15.2 million text messages sent per minute. Now think about that one for a minute. Mind blown! The average person spends about 23 hours a week texting. That is almost a full day all dedicated to these little, tiny 140-character messages. Powerful! The average young person sends about 67 text messages a day. How many do you send? I know I am probably above average but it is my business to send text messages, right?

I could go on and on with statistics, but I think you get the point I am trying to make. Texting messaging or SMS is alive and well and that is why we are here. So please enjoy the Free International Texting at BounceSMS and if you like it then we love it and please pass it on. And do not forget that Free SMS is provided by our sponsors.

So what exaclty is Application-to-Application Messaging? Well if you use applications such as Whatsapp, Messenger, iMessage, SnapChat WeChat, Line and anyother of these type of apps that allow you to send and receive messages only while you are connected to the inter then my friend you are very familiar with Appllcation-to-Appllcalton Messaging. I use Whatsapp, Messenger and iMessage daily. Do not know what I would do without them.

Here are somne very interesting statistics about Application-to-Application Messaging that you may not know. Get this around 41 million messages are sent out every minute. Note that messaging apps are now more than 20% lareger than social netoworks Facebook properties Messenger and Whatsapp together ove over 2.9 billion users and they are not stopping. Whatsapp and Messenger appear to have a 30% yearly growth outpacing all social networks in growth and populairty.

Time flies! Users spent more than 685 billion hours using Social and Messaging applications and sites during 2019 and the numbers continue to grow with 2020 being the largest year in usage ever! I am sure COVID helped with that. By the year 2022 it is expected that there will be over 3 billion people using some type of messaging app.

Did you know Whatsapp is the most downloaded app in the world. Chances are if you are reading this you probably have Whatsapp. Whatsapp has over 1.6 billion users out there and over 500 million daily active users. That means that over 500 million people send a text, audio or video message over Whatsapp every day.

I think the message is clear...app-to-app messaging is here to stay and it is only getting better. Keep watch because there is a totally new messageing application that is aobut to be lunched. It is being created in secret for now.

You may ask why do we provide Free Unlimited Text Messaging or SMS? The answer is simple, text messaging is unbelievably cheap for the mobile companies to provide even if they provided it for free, but they make too much money on it. Sending a message that cost you $.10, $.15, $.20 or more actually cost your mobile company about $.00001 per text. Think about that next time you pay to send a text message. We believe that you should not have to pay so much for something that cost so little, so we have provided it to you for free.

In order to provide Free SMS and a cost that we can afford we have to use a SIM solution therefore our messages may be a little slower than when you are sending directly from your mobile phone, but the message will arrive just the same. Using BounceSMS.Com can literally save you a lot of money so please take advantage of the service but do not abuse it.

Yes, there are a lot of sites out there and a few apps that claim to give you Free Text Messaging. Have you tried one? Most of the apps in the App Store or on iTunes have some kind of a catch. You either have to pay to use them by paying a monthly fee or by purchasing some type of credits. Others may work in the U.S. and Canada but are hit miss when it comes to texting International. Go ahead try and send a message to Africa, Spain, China, Russia or many other places with the other guys and see how well that works for you. BounceSMS is true Unlimited International SMS without any ticks or gimmicks. Real text for real people in a real world.

Another case for Free Unlimited International SMS is COVID. Right now, COVID is affecting the world and many people worldwide are out of jobs and do not have the funds for basic needs. Yet mobile companies continue to charge these fees for something they should be giving away during these times. We understand that not everyone has a smart phone and not everyone has a ready internet connection, and we know that if you cannot get them on an App-to-App messaging service you can always count on reaching them by SMS.

Please be safe out there and continue to send SMS to your loved ones and let them know that you are doing ok. All these messages are on us.

If we are going to talk about the future of messaging, then I believe we need to look at the predictions about the growth of messaging. The Mobile Messaging Apps market has a projected growth of 1.1 billion users. This is being accomplished by a compounded growth of 7.7%. The potential growth if above that. Claims are being made that Messaging Apps market will reach over 2.7 billion users by the year 2025. There will be serious growth in this market worldwide with over 2.7 billion users up for grab over the next 5 years. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

One of the things about messaging applications is that most people use more than one. I myself use regular old SMS, WhatsApp, iMessage, SnapChat, TextNow, TextFree, Messenger, Skype and of course BounceSMS all on a regular basis not to mention the messaging systems on various dating applications. Honestly messaging seems to be everywhere and on every platform that we want to be on, and it will continue to be this way for some time. You will continue to see more messaging options appear on some of your favorite apps.

Also look at what has been happing with customer service and SMS verification. One of the particularly useful things that I have seen in customer service is the ability to activate a new mobile service by text message. With this company not only can you activate the service, but you can perform simple task such as phone number changes right through SMS. You are going to see a lot more companies using SMS for customer service in the near future along with SMS verification. More and more websites and apps are using SMS to verify a user when they register for a site. There are many other ways that people can make SMS an extremely useful tool.

Messaging applications still have room to innovate. I believe that we will continue seeing great and inspiring innovation in the Mobile Messaging Apps department for some time to come. Now is a great time to be in the messaging field some good things are about to take place and we plan to have front row seats.

So tonight, I will make a resolution to send more text messages. Why? Because it is so easy to pick up the phone and send a text to people. Too easy to send a text to those that love us and that we claim to love but seem to never have time to contact. Honestly, I do not know how much time it takes you to send a simple “hello”, “luv u” or “hi” but whatever it is, it is a lot better than just saying or sending nothing.

Think about that this New Years. Think about that next New Years and each and every holiday between this New Years and the next. It takes only a moment to send out a little love via text message, but it goes a long way for that person who is not being contacted by anyone or who feels that no one cares or that they have been forgotten. And if you are the one that feels that they have been forgotten then you go ahead and do the same. Text someone, start a conversation with a text.

I don’t know about you, but I have made a few friends over the years either by accidently texting the wrong person or some stranger randomly texting people because they were bored. Whatever the reason it was good to meet someone knew maybe someone who was lonely and needed some kind of interaction especially during these times dealing with the Corona Virus. There virus has kept a lot of people inside and away from others and I feel that this is a great opportunity to reach out to people and to give thought towards others. Whether it is family, neighbors or complete strangers now is a perfect time to reach out to others. We may never get another opportunity in our lifetimes to do so.

Yes, Covid-19 or Covid-20 or Covid-21 or whatever you want to call it is a perfect opportunity to “reach out and touch someone”. Here’s a mobile phone, text someone who cares. And that is exactly what I would like to see more people do, text someone and show them that you care.

Of course, this will be my last message of the year. I pray that everyone out there continues to be safe and where your masks and please think of others safety also.

Sending you much love in the New Year.

Admin, BounceSMS

We at BounceSMS think that Messaging, and SMS are the best thing since sliced bread. I do not know if you love texting like we do but if you do then for sure you will love Free International Texting. The thing about sending a SMS is that it is just fun and fast, and you know the person received your message directly with or without internet. People have come up with a lot of ways to make sending a text interesting. For instance, are you familiar with your number neighbor? You have a neighbor 1 number up and 1 number down. So, for instance if you number is 330-555-1212 then your up neighbor would be 330-555-1213 and your down neighbor would be 330-555-1211. Go ahead and give it a try. Go ahead and test your number neighbor and see how it goes. Warning…not all number neighbors are friendly.

My favorite is to text a random stranger. I do not do that too much these days but back in the day I used to do it all the time and I had a few people send me a random message a few times. It was cool cause I actually got to know these people that randomly text me. It is like playing roulette with SMS because you never know will be on the end of that text. If you are not shy, then give it a try. Some other cool things you can try is texting to a bot. There are a lot of bots out there that will respond to the text messages you sent to it. There may even be those bots out there that simulate a real person.

There are websites where you can get a daily joke sent to your phone. Sites where you can get a daily bible quote sent as a text and many other automated messages. There is also the ability to send pictures and videos to your friends and family. It is always nice to see a video or a photo pop up from people now and then. You can send a long heart felt message or a simple term of endearment. Whatever the occasion calls for you can do it with a simple text. But I would not advise breaking up with someone by text message. Bad taste.

As we move forward and grow, I will continue to update this section with fun new and exciting ways to use SMS and messaging. If you have any suggestions, then please like us on Facebook and drop a post on our wall at www.facebook.com/slidesms. We look forward to seeing you there soon! Until then please continue to enjoy Free SMS with BounceSMS.Com.

Ok so I am sitting here working on BounceSMS' new awesome features when suddenly I get a ding on my phone. So, I check my phone to see a message from a U.S. number and it is a tiny url link. I was feeling super daring that night, so I tapped the link and was taken to a health fitness blog. How exciting! They had all kinds of exciting pills that would help you with weight loss, anti-aging, hair loss...🤔🤔🤔...body building and more! But what really caught my attention was that the message was sent to a group with me and 10 other people and now I have those other 10 people in my phone. So, this got me to thinking about what I was going to write for my first article on SMS Marketing and just how useful but annoying it can be.

SMS Marketing can be a highly effective means of marketing that allows you to reach a lot of people where the spend the most time, on their phones. With SMS Marketing you can send a text message to any phone in the world within seconds. That is powerful! Yet you know what they say right? With great power comes great responsibility. This is no difference when it comes to SMS Marketing because the last thing you want to do is become all spammy. As a matter of fact, they have a law against SMS spam:

The CAN-SPAM Act makes it illegal for businesses to send unwanted text messages to cell phone numbers and requires that any commercial message be easily identifiable by the receiver as an advertisement. Consumers must also be able to unsubscribe from receiving messages.

There is a list of does and don’ts when it comes to SMS Marketing and I am not going to list them. What I will tell you is that there are plenty of articles out there and that before you just start sending text messages to everyone and their mother, like the person that text me tonight, you should be aware of these laws or at the least contact a lawyer about it. I say this because the rewards if someone sues you for sending an unsolicited SMS are:

The statutory fine for unsolicited texts is $500, and up to $1,500 per text where the violation was made willfully.

So maybe you will get caught and maybe you will not. I do not know but what I do know is that there are going to be people out there who will want to collect that money from you. So be smart about your SMS Marketing and do it right. Not like the person who sent me a text at 2:00am. I wonder if they were just waiting there watching the clock to send that message exactly at 2:00am in the morning...🤔🤔🤔...I may never know.

Also keep in mind the cost to send a single text message seems cheap but it is really expensive. The money will really start to add up as you send out more and more text messages. I would be sure to try and get my monies worth out of every message sent. SMS waste can eat up your marketing budget fast considering you are looking at spending around $4500.00 for 1 million messages. The problem with a large send like that comes down to exactly how many of those numbers are actually working numbers and how many of them are just going to get dismissed right after they are ready. So, think about all the factors before you purchase SMS in bulk. I would suggest purchasing a smaller amount and testing it out to see how it goes for you.

In short...do not send SMS spam and you should be ok. I hope you continue to enjoy Unlimited Free International SMS at BounceSMS.com

Today I want to write a little about 2FA and OTP. In short, the difference between 2FA and OTP and what may be right for your website or app. Ok, so this is not the sexiest conversation nor the most exciting topic...and no, not OPP but OTP. For those who are new to this OTP = One Time Password and 2FA = 2 Factor Authentication.

Ok so if you have signed up for any new apps or websites lately you have problem ran into 2FA you know that screen that appears, on your phone when you register the app, asking for you to enter your mobile number for this that or the other reason. Once you enter your mobile number and tapped the send button you are then rewarded with a nice text message giving you 4 to 6 random digits that you must enter into the app before you can gain access to it.

2FA is great and it can make sure that your apps and computer and other things are almost impossible to gain access to without the use of your phone. Notice I did not say without your phone in hand as I can tell you that many times, I had to put a friend or relatives number into the app to create a second account. That is one thing about a lot of websites and apps that you may use, they will not allow you to register the same phone number on multiple accounts. You can get around this a few different ways for instance you can use a friend’s phone number to register. You can use one of our available 2FA numbers to create an account if it has not already been used and last and least you can go out and get a second mobile line. I do not recommend that.

No there is OTP or One Time Passwords. A lot of times those passwords are delivered as a text message from your bank or other financial institutions. I really cannot say that I see many apps using OTP. Sometimes just like with 2FA a website or app may use your email address for verification. Chances are that if it is a site or app where money can be spent, lost or stolen they are going to use 2FA or OTP by sending a text message to your phone. Who says the regular old text message has gone out of style? I do not know about you, but I use my basic text daily.

So, to recap 2FA and OTP are two security features that you probably use on a daily basis and have not idea as to what they are called and what they stand for. As long as you can log in to your account with some sense of security then you are a generally happy person. Did I get that right?
